What’s It About?

May 4, 2010

There are moments where I stop and ask myself what the Church is all about. I watch a lot of pastors via Twitter. I listen to Podcasts, and read blogs. I grew up in a number of different churches and experienced a number of different church problems.

I want to say this:

The Church is not a business. Ministry is not a profession. The Church should not be about making money.

The Church is not a business. Ministry is not a profession. The Church should not be about making money.

The Church is not a business. Ministry is not a profession. The Church should not be about making money.

The Church is not a business. Ministry is not a profession. The Church should not be about making money.

The Church is not a business. Ministry is not a profession. The Church should not be about making money.

The Church is not a business. Ministry is not a profession. The Church should not be about making money.

The Church is not a business. Ministry is not a profession. The Church should not be about making money.

I want to write more…but better judgment says I should just leave it at that.

If you ran a church, what would your church be all about? Better yet… what does the Bible say the Church should be?

What it’s NOT about: big buildings…. big, fat, multi-million dollar buildings.

“And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold, saying to them, ‘It is written, My house shall be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of robbers.'” (Luke 19:45-46)
