So I have mentioned that we are working through the book of Ephesians in our Sunday after church Bible study with our students. On Sunday we went through chapter 4 and this is what I walked away with.

Ephesians 4:1-6 Unity in the Body of Christ

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

There is a way that we as Christians are to walk through life. And as I read those verses the weight of it hit me harder than ever before. Being a Christian is tough. “Walking in a way that is worthy of your calling” is heavy stuff.

So the question is; am I doing what the Bible says to do?

In the work place, the home, on the bus, in the grocery store, in church and in every relationship… am I walking in a way that is worthy of my calling… my personal calling to be a follower of Christ… am I doing it?

WOW. Let it sink in. It is sinking me in the best way possible.
