The Same Story

As I watched people fill up our main room of our church on Sunday morning I was thinking about all of the individuals who have different stories. Each person that walked through the doors, received a welcome, and found a seat while dealing with any number of different issues.

We all have our own story of how we got to where we are in life. We all deal with different things from family issues, sickness, depression, marital problems (or lack there of), loss of job, bitterness, anger, lack of faith or trust. All of these situations change from day-to-day, month to month, and year to year. Our lives are ever evolving, constantly changing.

But there is one thing that will not change, and that is God. His story has been the same for all of time. He is indescribable in terms of how steady He is. It will not change tomorrow or the next day. You will wake up a year from now and His story will be the same.

Someone who does not change and still remains relevant to life is someone worth giving all of your worship to. Jesus Christ is the only person I have ever known to have the same story through out all of time. I am thankful that even though my story and your story is constantly changing His is not.
