There is a huge value to being consistent. In everything you do you want to be consistent as long as it is something positive of course. I know the benefits of this in terms of working in the home remodeling  world. If I consistently produce a good product (my labor and craftsmanship) then I will consistently have work. Michael Jordan was just inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame. He was consistent in practice and produced on the court. (greatest player ever by the way)

As I think about this, I am reminded of the classic story of Daniel in the Bible. He prayed and walked consistently with God. This didn’t always benefit him in terms of the material world (we all know about the lions den), but it did benefit him when it came to producing good fruit in his life. Consistent relationship with God= Producing good fruit/ character in your life. (The things that actually matter to God)

There are things that I want to do consistently. Things like love my wife, write and pastor people. But if I am not consistently working on my relationship with Christ then my product suffers immensely when it comes to taking care of the things I just mentioned.

My prayer today is that I become more and more consistent with my walk with Him. How about you?

I’m a bit late on the draw, but I needed to be reminded of the concept of consistency. Thanks Ben.
