Death (Kind of Morbid, but somewhat comical?)

I know this is kind of morbid, but just go with it ok?

Today I was thinking about death… Every single one of us was born and every single one of us will die at some point in our lives. Death is inevitable, we all are going to face it.

And while I was thinking about death I had some pretty random thoughts run through my brain…

  • Dead people never get to hear the sound of their own flat line. Does this bum them out?
  • When an atheist dies, at what point to they realize they should have believed in something? Does this scare them to death?
  • What is the ideal age to die, is there one statistically? Is there ever a point where you would be better off dead? (This was a serious thought.)
  • Why has death become so popular lately? Especially with the young people (say that like your at an age over 70), death seems to be the cool thing at times. Why is that?

I know that I am not crazy, at least my wife tells me I am not, but sometimes I do have some random thoughts. Do you ever think about death, dieing or things of the sort? I would be interested in knowing what you think when it comes to the subject.

Remember this post was suppose to be a bit comical

In the bad old days before I was saved I longed for death. I just wanted out, away from the pain of my existence. I longed for nothingness.

Boy am I glad things have changed!!!!!!!!

Now every new day is a blessing. I am not afraid to die, in fact in many ways I can’t wait! When I think about dying I get a little giddy. 🙂 But as long as I’m still here on the earth, I’m going to live every day with the joy that serving the Lord gives me.
