Where do you get it?

January 18, 2009

A few days ago a plane crashed into the Hudson River in New York City. When something like this happens, the news of it spreads around the world in a matter of seconds. Via the technology of social networking sites, multiple media outlets and personal communicating devices.

I thought that I might give you a glimse of how I get my news of what is going on around the world.

  1. CNN on television and on the web. For me personally I think this is some of the best news coverage out there.
  2. The Radio while I drive in the car. When I am not listening to music and want to hear some news of what is going on in politics and pop culture I listen to two different radio stations; WDVE and WPGB here in Pittsburgh.
  3. The Newspaper. I know this sounds old school but there is something about the local paper that makes me feel like I am part of my city. The Valley News Dispatch is my local paper and the regional paper that I read is Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
  4. 4. Facebook. I was very anti any kind of social networking sites, but in September I caved and signed on. Since then it has been a great tool to connect with people that I have not talked to in a long time and a great way to promote my blog! A status update was how I found out about the plane in NYC, crazy huh?

Where do you get your news?
