I wish I was a writer

November 13, 2008

Recently my good friend Todd Spencer (wish I could link to him) gave me a paper that he wrote. He is an excellent writer and is very humble about it. I told him he needs to write more but doesn’t want to hear it. Below is an excerpt from something he wrote:

“So the world is free, everyone in the world.  Its’ just that some people don’t know it.  Or they don’t know how to walk away.  Or they don’t want to walk away.  Or they don’t realize that there is something better out there if they walk away.  If we as Christians have been freed, it is our job and privilege to help other’s find that freedom too.  II Corinthians 5:16-6:2 says that if we truly love God and others, we won’t see people as we used to but will see them as God does; we will see them with loving eyes and love them enough to do whatever it takes to free them.  It says that our job is to be ambassadors of God’s grace to the world.  To spread the word that there is a better, more perfect and truthful way to live both now and forever.”

I thought this was very good and says a lot about our current cultures both Christian and Secular. Let me know what you think, I’ll relay the comments to Todd.

    Truth.
Too bad Todd doesn’t put his entire little black book online somewhere. It would be interesting to read.
